February 13, New Delhi – India’s Minister of Trade and Commerce, Piyush Goyal, has once again stated that the India-US Trade Pact fully protects the interests of farmers.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Piyush Goyal said that approximately 90% to 95% of farm products produced in India are excluded from the trade agreement, ensuring that farmers’ interests are protected.
He emphasized that the agreement does not affect sensitive agricultural and dairy sectors.
The minister also assured the nation that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, farmers across the country will always remain secure, empowered, and prosperous.
The minister wrote, "Farmers are supreme!"
He also accused Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, of spreading misinformation, stating that Rahul Gandhi has nothing to do with the interests of farmers and youth and is misleading them.
Piyush Goyal stated, "Rahul Gandhi is a habitual liar and has nothing to do with the interests of our farmers and youth. He has made false allegations in a video and is trying to mislead farmers. He has never worked for the country, nor can we expect a strong and prosperous future for the country."
