New Delhi, May 14 – Guar seed prices registered a modest increase in futures trading on Wednesday, climbing Rs 7 to settle at Rs 5,147 per quintal. The upward movement came as traders expanded their positions, encouraged by a strong trend in the spot market and tight supplies from key producing regions.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), June delivery contracts rose by 0.14 percent, supported by an open interest of 56,235 lots.
Market participants attributed the price rise to intensified speculative buying driven by robust physical demand and limited arrivals from major guar-growing belts. The combination of bullish market sentiment and restricted supply has sustained the upward trajectory of guar seed prices.
