Colombo, May 11 – India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and chose to bat first against Sri Lanka in the final of the Women's Tri-Nation ODI Series held in Colombo on Sunday.
Team India entered the title clash as table-toppers, securing three victories out of four matches in the round-robin stage of the three-nation contest. Sri Lanka booked their spot in the final with two wins and two losses, finishing second in the points table.
Debut for Kranti Goud, Dilhari Misses Out
India handed a maiden ODI cap to medium-pacer Kranti Goud, who came into the playing XI in place of Shuchi Upadhyay. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka faced a setback as their key all-rounder Kavisha Dilhari was ruled out of the match due to illness.In a strategic reshuffle, the hosts brought in Inoka Ranaweera and Piumi Wathsala, replacing Manudi Nanayakkara and Inoshi Fernando.
