Haryana CM Pays Tribute to Martyr Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar Sharma in Palwal.webp


Chandigarh, May 15 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday paid tribute to Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar Sharma, who lost his life during Pakistani shelling along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on May 7.

Visiting the martyr’s residence in Nagla Mohammadpur village in Palwal district, Saini offered floral tributes and extended his condolences to the grieving family. He reaffirmed the state government’s unwavering support, stating that the people and government of Haryana stood united with the family in this hour of sorrow.

According to an official statement, Chief Minister Saini praised Lance Naik Sharma’s bravery and dedication. He valiantly defended the nation’s borders and made the supreme sacrifice to serve the country. He described the martyr’s courage as a symbol of immense pride for all Indians.

Saini also assured the family of financial aid and other benefits as per the state’s policy for the families of martyrs. Additionally, acceding to a heartfelt request by the martyr’s father, Daya Chand, the chief minister announced that a park would be developed in the village and named in honour of Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar Sharma.

Lance Naik Sharma, who served in the 5 Field Regiment, was among 16 individuals killed in the cross-border shelling incident, which targeted forward villages in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir.
