Chandigarh, May 17 – Haryana police have arrested a YouTuber from Hisar on espionage charges, marking yet another incident in a recent string of alleged spying activities in the state.

The accused, identified as Jyoti, was taken into custody from the New Aggarsain Extension area in Hisar. According to police officials, she has been booked under relevant sections of the Official Secrets Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deal with national security breaches and related criminal conduct.

This development follows closely on the heels of the arrest of Devender Singh, a 25-year-old postgraduate student from the Guhla area in Kaithal district. Singh was arrested for allegedly maintaining links with Pakistani intelligence operatives. Authorities had earlier filed an FIR against him for uploading social media posts featuring weapons.

In a related case just days earlier, Nauman Ilahi, a 24-year-old from Panipat district, was also arrested for allegedly supplying sensitive information to individuals in Pakistan.

The arrests underscore a concerning pattern of espionage activities reportedly linked to Pakistan, with Haryana emerging as a key zone under surveillance. Authorities have not ruled out further investigations and possible arrests in the expanding probe.
