Amaravati, April 1 — The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has issued a heat wave warning for 26 mandals across the state on Tuesday, urging residents to take necessary precautions as temperatures continue to soar.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and further updates are expected as the weather conditions develop.
Districts on High Alert
APSDMA Managing Director R Kurmanadh stated that the heat wave is expected to impact several areas, with the following distribution:- Vizianagaram – 6 mandals
- Srikakulam – 6 mandals
- Parvathipuram Manyam – 10 mandals
- Alluri Sitaramaraju – 3 mandals
- East Godavari – 1 mandal
Temperature Soars Above 40°C in Several Districts
The temperature in parts of Andhra Pradesh breached the 40°C mark on Monday. According to APSDMA data:- Gospadu (Nandyala district) recorded the highest temperature at 40.3°C
- Kammarachedu (Kurnool district) followed closely at 40.2°C
- Nagasamudram (Anantapur district) logged 40°C
