Brief Suspension Due to Clearance Delay, Now Resolved
Dehradun, May 10 — The Uttarakhand government on Saturday clarified that helicopter services to all Char Dham pilgrimage sites, including Kedarnath, are operating without interruption, putting to rest speculation about a suspension.Additional Secretary Sonika confirmed that while there was a brief interruption in the morning, it was due to the temporary unavailability of certain Non-Objection Certificates (NOCs) and clearances. These issues were quickly resolved, and operations resumed soon after.
"Heli operations to all Char Dham pilgrimage sites are going on uninterrupted," Sonika said in an official statement, dismissing widespread rumors of suspension.
The state government urged devotees and the public not to believe misinformation and emphasized its commitment to a seamless and safe pilgrimage experience.
Over 4 Lakh Pilgrims Have Visited Char Dham So Far
The Char Dham Yatra, one of the most revered pilgrimages in India, has already seen over four lakh pilgrims visiting the sacred shrines this season, according to government data."The state government is committed to making your journey smooth and safe," the statement added, reassuring pilgrims amid circulating rumors.
The Char Dham Yatra includes the four holy shrines of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri, drawing lakhs of devotees annually.
