The speculation gained momentum after her co-star Akshay Kumar recently wished filmmaker Priyadarshan on Instagram. Following this, the director expressed his willingness to helm Hera Pheri 3.
Tabu, who played Anuradha—a character with a hidden agenda—in the original film alongside Paresh Rawal as the lovable Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, Akshay Kumar as the street-smart Raju, and Suniel Shetty as the struggling Shyam, was absent from the 2006 sequel, Phir Hera Pheri. However, on Monday night, she reposted Kumar’s birthday message for Priyadarshan on her Instagram Story, adding:
“Of course, the cast won’t be complete without me @priyadarshan.official.”
While the makers of Hera Pheri 3 have yet to make an official announcement, Tabu’s cryptic message has fueled excitement among fans eager to see her reunite with the original team.
Meanwhile, Tabu, Kumar, and Paresh Rawal are currently filming Priyadarshan’s upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla, slated for release on April 2, 2026.
Tabu was last seen in the HBO series Dune: Prophecy.
