Schools Given Two Weeks to Renew Recognition or Face Penalties

Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, May 17 – The Elementary Education Department of Hamirpur has initiated strict measures against private schools that have failed to renew their recognition or affiliation for the 2024-25 academic session.

An official spokesperson confirmed on Saturday that a block-level inspection team has been formed to conduct surprise visits to private schools across the district. The team will randomly inspect institutions and verify their documentation.

School authorities found lacking the necessary documents or with expired recognition will receive formal notices and be subjected to fines. They will also be instructed to complete the renewal process within a strict two-week timeframe.

Deputy Director of School Education Kamal Kishore emphasized that the department will take strict action against school managers who neglect the mandatory renewal process.

“Every year, the Education Department conducts a recognition renewal process for private schools. Despite prior instructions issued before the end of the previous session, some institutions have failed to submit online applications,” said Kishore.

The crackdown highlights the department’s commitment to ensuring compliance and maintaining educational standards across private institutions in the district.
