History-sheeter killed by siblings in Nagpur over T-shirt bought online for Rs 300

Nagpur, Feb 3 (PTI) – A petty dispute over a Rs 300 T-shirt took a violent turn in Nagpur, leading to the brutal murder of a history-sheeter, police said on Monday.

According to officials, accused Akshay Asole had purchased the T-shirt online but found it didn’t fit him. He then passed it on to Shubham Harne, the deceased, expecting payment in return. However, when Harne delayed making the payment, tensions escalated.

During a heated exchange, Harne reportedly threw the money at Asole in a dismissive manner, which enraged him. On Sunday, Akshay, along with his brother Prayag Asole, lured Harne near the Kawrapeth flyover, where Prayag fatally stabbed him. The siblings fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Following an investigation, both accused were arrested by Mayo police. Authorities revealed that all three individuals—Harne and the Asole brothers—had criminal records at various police stations in Nagpur.

Further investigations into the case are ongoing.
