Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Initiates Voluntary Recall for CB300R Units Manufactured Between 2018 and 2020

New Delhi, April 11 – Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a voluntary recall of specific units of its CB300R motorcycles to address a headlight malfunction linked to internal wiring issues.

In an official statement, HMSI confirmed that the recall affects CB300R models produced between 2018 and 2020, as part of a global corrective initiative. The company has pinpointed a fault in the internal PCB structure of the headlight assembly. According to HMSI, this issue may cause the core wires to fatigue and break at the terminal roots, leading to headlight flickering or complete shutdown.

Free Repairs at BigWing Dealerships, Irrespective of Warranty

As a safety measure, HMSI will replace the affected headlight components free of charge, regardless of the vehicle's current warranty status. The replacement process will be carried out exclusively through Honda BigWing dealerships across India.

Customers whose motorcycles may be affected will be contacted proactively by their nearest BigWing dealers for inspection and service.

Check Your VIN Online

For added convenience, CB300R owners can verify if their motorcycle is part of the recall by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the Honda BigWing website.

HMSI urges all affected customers to participate in the recall campaign promptly to ensure continued safety and performance.
