Jalna, May 12 — A tragic road accident claimed the lives of a Hyderabad-based couple and left five others, including three children, seriously injured late Sunday night in Maharashtra’s Jalna district.
The accident occurred around 11:30 PM in Ambad tehsil when the victims' car, en route to the pilgrimage town of Shirdi, collided with a truck on the Solapur-Dhule highway.
Couple Killed in Fatal Impact
The deceased have been identified as G. Ram (42) and his wife G. Madhuri (39), both residents of Hyderabad. The impact of the collision was devastating, completely mangling the car and making rescue efforts difficult. Local residents and police had to use a JCB machine to extricate the bodies from the wreckage.Children Among the Injured
Five other occupants of the car sustained serious injuries and were immediately rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The injured have been identified as:- Shrivani (41)

Truck Driver Absconds
Following the collision, the truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. Local authorities have launched a search to trace the absconding driver. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.Rescue Efforts and Response
