New Delhi, May 12 – A manager working with IBM in Gurugram has gone missing under mysterious circumstances, prompting a search operation by Delhi Police and emergency services.
Ajay Srivastava, a resident of Nangli Vihar in Najafgarh, was last seen leaving his home around 5 PM on Sunday. According to police sources, his white Santro car was found abandoned early Monday morning near the Kakrola drain in Delhi’s Dwarka, about five kilometres from his residence.
The unattended vehicle was spotted by locals who alerted the Dwarka North Police Station through a PCR call. Upon reaching the scene, police officers found the car unlocked and empty, with no signs of struggle or suspicious items inside.
Police investigations revealed that the vehicle was registered to Ram Naresh Srivastava, Ajay’s father. “Ram Naresh confirmed that his son had left the house the previous evening in the car and hadn’t returned,” said a police official.
Ajay Srivastava, employed as a manager at IBM, had reportedly been working remotely from home for some time. A missing person’s report has been filed, and Delhi Police have initiated a comprehensive search operation. The fire department and divers have also been roped in to assist with the search near the drain.
The missing individual is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall, fair-complexioned, with a round face and medium build. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a green full-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and black sports shoes.
Family members have informed the authorities that Ajay had no known personal or professional conflicts, and no foul play is suspected at this point. Police are continuing to investigate all possibilities.
No official response has yet been received from IBM regarding the incident.
