New Delhi, May 10 — The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced new dates for the CA examinations, which were earlier postponed due to security concerns in the country. The exams will now be held from May 16 to 24, 2025, as per an official notification issued on Saturday night.
The original schedule had fixed the exams between May 9 and 14, but escalating tensions had led to a deferral announced earlier this week.
“In view of the favourable developments in the security situation in the country, it has been decided that the CA Final, Intermediate and INTT-AT (PQC) examinations earlier scheduled to be conducted from May 9 to 14 will now be held from May 16 to 24,” the ICAI stated in its latest update.
The announcement comes after the Indian and Pakistani Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) agreed to cease all military actions across land, air, and sea from 5 PM on Saturday, following a high-level diplomatic intervention.
This ceasefire understanding was revealed by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and came shortly after US President Donald Trump confirmed that both nations had agreed to a “full and immediate ceasefire” after US-mediated talks.
The ICAI's decision is expected to bring relief to thousands of aspirants preparing for these crucial examinations.
