Nagpur, May 11 – Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM-N) celebrated a major milestone at its 9th convocation, marking its 10th anniversary with 100 per cent placements for the MBA 2023–25 batch and a notable rise in gender diversity.
Women comprise 46% of Regular MBA Graduates
Among the 267 students who completed the regular MBA program, 120 were women, representing 46% of the batch. This marks a three per cent increase from the 43 per cent recorded in the previous 2022–24 cohort. Director Bhimaraya Metri described the achievement as a reflection of the institute’s commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive learning environment in management education.Record-Breaking Placement Performance
The institute achieved full placement for its MBA graduates, with top recruiters including Microsoft, Amazon, Adani, BNP Paribas, Vedanta, Axis Bank, and more participating in the drive.Key placement highlights:

- Highest Summer Internship Stipend: ₹2.70 lakh
- Average Final Package: ₹18.07 LPA

Convocation Celebrates 329 MBA Graduates
A total of 329 MBA students graduated across three programs:- 267 in the regular MBA program
- 35 in the Executive MBA program at Pune
- 27 in the Executive MBA program at Nagpur
A Decade of Growth and Industry Relevance
Chairman of the Board of Governors, CP Gurnani, highlighted IIM Nagpur’s journey over the past ten years, describing it as a decade of “growth, innovation, and academic excellence.” He also announced plans for major infrastructure expansion to support the institute’s academic needs.Director Metri attributed the placement success to the joint efforts of the Career Development Services (CDS) team and the Student Placement Committee, saying, “IIM Nagpur is now emerging as a hub of opportunity.”
Industry Collaboration and Inspirational Leadership
Looking ahead, IIM Nagpur is set to partner with the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) to further its industry-academic collaborations.Puneet Chhatwal, MD and CEO of IHCL, addressed the students as the chief guest. He urged them to lead with vision and purpose, stating, “If you follow purpose, success is just a consequence. Now is your time to lead, set new benchmarks, and cultivate a growth mindset.”
