Authorities Narrowly Escape as Mining Mafia's Truck Flees Towards Aligarh
In a dramatic late-night incident in Mathura's Nauhjheel area, a truck allegedly linked to the mining mafia attempted to run over authorities, including senior officials conducting anti-mining checks. The incident occurred on Saturday night, sparking immediate action from law enforcement officials.According to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Trigun Bisen, a team comprising Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Mant Abhinav J. Jain, Regional Mining Inspector Akshay Kumar, and Kolahar Police Outpost In-charge Sanjay Kumar were performing vehicle inspections between Chhinparai and Kolahar as part of an intensified crackdown against illegal mining activities.
Truck Breaches Barricade, Authorities Launch Investigation
Officials reported that when they attempted to stop three trucks carrying illegally mined ballast and gravel, the drivers responded aggressively, attempting to run over the officers. One truck broke through barricades, narrowly missing the authorities, and swiftly escaped toward Aligarh.In response to this grave violation, Regional Mining Inspector Akshay Kumar filed an FIR at the Nauhjheel Police Station on Sunday night.
Two Trucks Seized, Drivers Still at Large
Station House Officer (SHO) Shailendra Singh confirmed that authorities subsequently managed to seize two trucks loaded with illegally mined materials near the Nauhjheel bus stand. However, the drivers fled from the scene and remain at large.An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against a total of five truck drivers, three car drivers, and two unidentified individuals for their involvement in illegal mining and the attempt to harm government officials.
Mathura Administration Issues Stern Warning
District Magistrate Chandraprakash Singh emphasized that the district administration would maintain a firm stance against illegal mining, promising stringent action against all offenders."No guilty person will be spared," Singh stated, reinforcing the administration's commitment to protecting officials and ending illegal mining operations in Mathura.
Police have initiated an extensive investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for the incident, ensuring swift justice and a strong deterrent against future violations.
