RAMBAN, FEBRUARY 12: Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan chaired a meeting to review measures for decongesting roads in the Ramban town and ensuring smooth traffic movement on National Highway 44.

He directed the Municipal Council to remove encroachments, regulate street vendors, and install "No Parking" signs. NHAI was asked to place crash barriers, proper signage, speed-limit boards, and diversion indicators, and ensure adequate lighting in the tunnels between Nashri and Banihal.

PWD was instructed to expedite work on the Ramban bus stand and install safety measures on roads under its jurisdiction. The DC also ordered regular joint enforcement drives by the Police, Revenue, Motor Vehicles, and Municipal authorities against illegal parking and encroachments to improve traffic management and public safety.
