February 13, New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Tarique Rahman and congratulated the leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on his remarkable victory in the Bangladeshi elections.
The Prime Minister extended his best wishes and support to Rahman in his efforts to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Bangladesh.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi said he was "delighted to speak with Mr. Tarique Rahman" and congratulated him on the electoral victory.
"As two close neighbors with deep-rooted historical and cultural ties, I reaffirmed India's continued commitment to the peace, progress, and prosperity of both our peoples," the Prime Minister wrote.
