
Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, will undertake a four-day visit to Australia, starting from the 16th of this month. The Defence Ministry stated that the visit aims to further strengthen India-Australia defence cooperation and reinforce the growing convergence between the two nations. The Army Chief will hold extensive interactions with senior leadership of the Australian Defence Forces, focusing on enhancing engagements between the armies, including training, joint exercises, professional exchanges, and capacity building.
General Dwivedi will also interact with the Commander of the Australian Defence College and address the officers at the Australian Command and Staff College. This visit reaffirms the shared commitment of both nations to further enhancing defence cooperation and jointly contributing to peace, stability, and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
