India Embassy Celebrates Mahashivratri at Pashupatinath Temple.webp


February 12, New Delhi — To celebrate the upcoming Mahashivaratri festival, the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, in collaboration with the Pashupatinath Area Development Trust, organized a cultural evening at the Pashupatinath Temple complex today.

The event featured various activities performed by teachers and students from ICCR in Nepal, along with artists from Nepal. These included demonstrations of rhythmic yoga, performances of classical Bharatnatyam dance, and devotional bhajans dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Thousands of Sadhus and spiritual seekers from different sects walk to Kathmandu from various parts of the Himalayas to celebrate Mahashivaratri at the Pashupati Temple. Millions of devotees visit the Pashupati Temple on this occasion to worship and seek blessings.
