Asserts India’s Strength Amid Ceasefire Understanding with Pakistan
Mumbai, May 11 — Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday reiterated India’s firm stance against terrorism, asserting that the country has a “zero tolerance” policy and the power to eliminate Pakistan if provoked.
His statement followed a ceasefire understanding reached between India and Pakistan a day earlier, bringing an immediate halt to all military actions across land, air, and sea after four days of intense cross-border drone and missile exchanges.
Speaking to reporters, Shinde said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a strong message to Pakistan that there is zero tolerance against terrorism. India will not tolerate any compromise on terrorism.”
The deputy chief minister emphasized that India is fully capable of dealing with any external threats. “India holds the capacity to obliterate Pakistan from the world map. It should learn from India's firm stance,” he stated.
Shinde further advised Pakistan to engage with India while being mindful of its own limitations, underlining the strength and resolve of India in safeguarding its sovereignty and national security.
