New Delhi, May 10 — In a significant move to reinforce bilateral defence relations, Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth met Russian Deputy Defence Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin during a visit to Russia from May 8–9. Participation in the Victory Day Parade
The visit coincided with Russia’s 80th Victory Day celebrations, commemorating Nazi Germany’s defeat in World War II. Seth represented India at the military parade held at Moscow’s Red Square on May 9, which was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and several foreign dignitaries.He also laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, honoring fallen soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, and joined other international delegates in witnessing the grand ceremony.
