Asserts firm stance against terrorism; rules out third-party involvement in Indo-Pak matters
Guwahati, May 17 — Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday firmly declared that India will not allow any "third force" to interfere in its bilateral affairs with Pakistan, especially in matters related to terrorism. Speaking at a Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) Grihapravesh ceremony in Guwahati, the senior leader underscored India's resolve and decisive response following the recent Pahalgam terror attack.Chouhan emphasized that while India has always stood for peace, it would not hesitate to act swiftly and forcefully if provoked.
Following the Pahalgam incident, Chouhan revealed that India made a conscious decision to avoid targeting Pakistani civilians or its military. Instead, it launched precise strikes on terror camps across the border."We don’t interfere with others, but if someone tries to create trouble for us, we don’t spare them," he stated.
Highlighting India's technological and military prowess, Chouhan said, "Pakistan sent its drones and missiles with the confidence that these will strike our land. But our armed forces destroyed them with precision, as if these were mere toys. Our children in border areas are now playing with these pieces. In three days, Pakistan came down on its knees."
Reiterating India's diplomatic position, he asserted that any future talks with Pakistan would only center around two issues — terrorism and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), which he said rightfully belongs to India.
Praising the Indian armed forces and national leadership, Chouhan concluded by saying, "We want peace, but whenever needed, we will show our strength. I salute our armed forces and the leaders who devised the strategies for it.""India doesn’t want war, but we won’t spare terrorism. We take our own decision. No third force can interfere," he added.
The Union Minister’s remarks come amid heightened national sentiment around security and sovereignty, reflecting India’s unwavering policy on cross-border terrorism and strategic autonomy.
