New Delhi, Feb 3 (PTI): In a proud moment for the Indian-American music community, vocalist and entrepreneur Chandrika Tandon has won the Grammy Award for her album Triveni. Tandon, who is also a global business leader and the older sister of former PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, was honoured at the 67th Grammy Awards—held Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles—after her collaboration with South African flautist Wouter Kellerman and Japanese cellist Eru Matsumoto earned top recognition in the Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album category.
Tandon, who grew up in Chennai, shared her excitement in a backstage interview with the Recording Academy, saying, “It feels amazing.” She also praised her fellow nominees, adding, “The fact that we won this is really an extra special moment for us. There were fabulous musicians who were nominated with us.”
