New Delhi, May 10
India’s armed forces issued a stern warning on Saturday, asserting that any future provocation or misadventure by Pakistan will be met with strong and decisive retaliation. The statement followed shortly after an understanding was reached between the two nations to halt ongoing military actions.
Addressing the media, Commodore Raghu Nair emphasized India’s unwavering commitment to national security. “While we will be adhering to the understanding reached today, we remain fully prepared to defend India's sovereignty,” he stated. “We are fully operationally ready to launch whatever operations may be required in defence of the nation.”
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, Nair said any act of aggression from Pakistan would trigger a forceful response. “Every misadventure by Pakistan will be met with strength and every future escalation will invite a decisive response,” he added.
Rebutting claims made by Pakistan, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said the neighbouring country’s assertions about damaging key Indian military assets were baseless. “Pakistan's claim of destroying India's S-400 missile base is completely false,” she said.
Singh also pointed out that multiple attempts were made by Pakistan to spread misinformation. “Pakistan has suffered heavy losses in both land and air domains,” she noted, further dismissing claims about a BrahMos missile installation being destroyed as “false.”
The Indian military’s statements reaffirmed its stance on maintaining strategic readiness and its commitment to protecting the nation against any hostile intent.
