
Amaravati, Feb 2 (PTI) – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu lauded the Indian Women’s Under-19 cricket team for their resounding victory in the T20 World Cup final. In a heartfelt post on ‘X’, Naidu expressed pride in the team’s achievement and emphasized the inspiration they have provided to aspiring young cricketers across the country.
"Congratulations to the Indian Women’s U-19 team for winning the T20 World Cup! With your hard work, determination, and grit, you achieved a remarkable 9-wicket victory over South Africa, making every Indian proud. Not only have you brought glory to the nation, but you have also inspired countless young girls! The entire nation is proud of you," he wrote.
Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh also extended his congratulations, highlighting the exceptional performance of Telugu cricketer Gongadi Trisha. Recognizing her consistent contributions with both bat and ball throughout the tournament, Lokesh praised Trisha for making the state and the country proud.
India secured their second consecutive Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup title in Kuala Lumpur with a dominant nine-wicket win over South Africa in the final, reinforcing their status as a powerhouse in women's cricket.
