India's Air Defence Symbolises Strength and Strategic Superiority: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.webp

Highlights India's Strikes on Pakistan and Praises Armed Forces' Resolve

Guwahati, May 12 — Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday asserted that India’s Integrated Air Defence System is a clear reflection of the country's military strength and technological edge, calling it more than just a defensive mechanism.

“Our Integrated Air Defence System is not just a shield — it is a declaration of India’s technological superiority and military dominance. From the sky to the ground, India now decides the terms of engagement,” Sarma said in a post on X.

He lauded the professionalism of the Indian Armed Forces and described the recent briefings by the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) as “intense, unapologetically professional, and brutally honest.”

According to the chief minister, the DGMOs made it “absolutely clear” that Indian forces had struck deep into Pakistan territory with precision and resolve. “This is not propaganda. This is the new India — driven by strategy, powered by strength, and backed by facts,” he said.

Over 100 Terrorists Eliminated in Operation Sindoor, Says CM

Referring to the DGMO’s Sunday briefing, Sarma said India presented irrefutable evidence of the success of #OperationSindoor, which he claimed had neutralised over 100 Pakistani terrorists and inflicted significant damage to enemy military and terror infrastructure.

“This operation sends a strong message — that new India will track down terrorists to the ends of the earth and eliminate them, no matter where they hide — on land, in the air, or at sea,” he added.

PM Modi's Silent Leadership Applauded

In an address to BJP workers, Sarma highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's behind-the-scenes leadership during these developments. “He may not be visible on TV, but he is holding meetings one after the other, showing how to lead a mature nation,” Sarma said.

He urged party workers to spread awareness about India’s rising global stature and the strength the nation now commands on the world stage.

Dismisses Pakistan’s Claims of Attacks

Sarma also refuted Pakistan’s claims of retaliatory strikes on Indian territory. “If any attack had happened in Jammu and Kashmir or Punjab, we would have known. The fact is that nothing has happened,” he stated.

The chief minister has been consistently posting on developments involving Pakistan following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists.
