Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal stated that India is the only country that has Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and the United States. During an event in New Delhi yesterday, he said that India has taken into account the interests of its farmers, dairy industry, and micro, small, and medium enterprises in these agreements.

Mr. Goyal also stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is pushing the agenda of reforms in a mission-mode. He explained that the Free Trade Agreements involve 38 countries, which account for two-thirds of the global economy. Mr. Goyal also said that the spread of Artificial Intelligence, or machine intelligence, would be difficult without India.
