Mumbai, Feb 28: Global mobility and urban services platform inDrive has recorded an 18% year-on-year (Y-O-Y) increase in ride volume across India in 2024, attributing its growth to its distinctive fare-setting model. The company announced this milestone on Friday, emphasizing that its unique approach has been instrumental in enhancing customer satisfaction.

inDrive’s innovative ‘Set Your Fare and Choose Your Driver’ feature, which allows riders to propose a fare and select a driver based on ratings, vehicle model, pickup time, and distance, has gained significant traction. This model, first introduced by inDrive, is now being adopted by both global ride-hailing giants and emerging Indian startups, marking a shift in the industry.

“It’s inspiring to see that both established ride-hailing giants and emerging Indian startups recognize the value of this unique feature and are exploring similar models to achieve their product-market fit,” said Pavit Nanda Anand, Communication Lead-APAC, inDrive.

inDrive, which operates in 888 cities across 48 countries, continues to expand its presence in India, challenging conventional pricing models and offering more flexibility to both riders and drivers.

This growth highlights the increasing demand for user-driven pricing models in the ride-hailing sector, as companies strive to enhance customer experience and differentiate themselves in a competitive market.
