New Delhi, February 17 Infosys, a major IT company, saw its share price rise by more than 3% on Tuesday after the company announced a strategic collaboration with Anthropic to develop and deliver advanced enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
On the BSE, the company's stock increased by 3.27%, closing at Rs 1,410.95 per share.
The BSE-focused IT index gained 1.45%, with Infosys being the top performer.
The market is trading positively, with the 30-share BSE Sensex rising by 126.19 points, or 0.15%, to 83,403.34.
Infosys announced on Tuesday a strategic collaboration with Anthropic, an AI safety and research company, to develop and deliver advanced enterprise AI solutions to companies in the telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, and software development sectors.
Infosys, based in Bengaluru, stated that the collaboration with Anthropic will initially focus on the telecommunications sector, with a dedicated Anthropic Center of Excellence to build and deploy AI agents tailored to industry-specific operations.
The company said that the partnership will also expand to other industries, including financial services, manufacturing, and software development.
At its core, the strategic alliance integrates Anthropic's Claude models, including Claude Code, with Infosys' Topaz AI offerings to help enterprises automate workflows, accelerate software delivery, and adopt AI with governance and transparency for regulated industries.
The collaboration will also help organizations modernize legacy systems, combining Infosys Topaz and Claude to accelerate migration and reduce the cost of updating aging infrastructure, the company added.
