Israeli artists bring sacred harmony to Maha Kumbh with fusion of Indian and Hebrew music

Prayagraj, Feb 2 (PTI) – The Maha Kumbh Mela witnessed a rare and harmonious cultural fusion as Israeli artists joined Indian maestros in a mesmerizing musical performance during the "Love Unites" event on Sunday evening.

Organized by Shaktidham Ashram Varanasi, the event transformed the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati into a stage for unity, blending Indian classical music, Sanskrit mantras, and Hebrew spiritual chants. This unique gathering, held on the eve of Basant Panchami Amrit Snan, aimed to celebrate devotion and cross-cultural harmony.

Global Artists, One Message of Unity

Renowned musicians including Sandeep Mishra, Amit Mishra, Narayan Jyoti, Yaron Pe’er, and Maya Baitner performed at the event, captivating the audience with their soul-stirring melodies.

"Love Unites is a gathering of musicians that brings together the art and wisdom of our ancestors from Hebrew and Indian traditions, showing that while names may be many, God is one," said Israeli musician Yaron Pe’er.

Narayan Jyoti (Ron Paz) from Israel emphasized the event’s deeper message, stating, "Musicians from Israel and India inspire each other to discover the sound current that unites us all through music."

Adding a message of peace, Israeli cellist and singer Maya Baitner said, "This event is a prayer for peace in the Middle East and a heartfelt thanksgiving for the support of our Indian connections."

A Spiritual Awakening Through Music

Spiritual leader Jagadguru Sai Maa hailed the event as a turning point for global harmony. "This gathering marks the beginning of a new era—one that fosters love, truth, and compassion," she said.

The Shaktidham Ashram described the event as a bridge between cultures, allowing participants to experience unity through sacred music and prayers. The evening radiated deep spiritual energy, echoing from the heart of the Kumbh Mela to audiences worldwide, as the event was streamed live online.

Maha Kumbh: A Global Pilgrimage

The Maha Kumbh Mela, which commenced on January 13 and will continue until February 26, has drawn millions of pilgrims from across the world, including a significant number of visitors from Israel. According to the Uttar Pradesh government, over 33 crore devotees have already participated in the spiritual festival.

This rare confluence of musical and spiritual traditions at the Maha Kumbh has set a powerful precedent for global unity, proving once again that devotion and music transcend borders.
