Jammu, May 11 — Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday visited Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Jammu to assess the condition of those injured in recent Pakistani shelling incidents across various districts of the Union Territory.

According to an official spokesperson, a team of doctors briefed the lieutenant governor on the medical status of the injured individuals hailing from the Jammu, Rajouri, and Poonch districts. These victims are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

LG Sinha directed the hospital authorities to extend the best possible medical care to all the injured civilians. He also expressed his heartfelt wishes for their speedy recovery and assured the affected families of comprehensive support from the administration.

Earlier in the day, LG Sinha paid homage to Rifleman Sunil Kumar, who lost his life during unprovoked firing by Pakistani forces in the RS Pura sector on Saturday.

“Paid tributes to the Army Braveheart Rfn Sunil Kumar, who laid down his life in the line of duty for the Nation. India will never forget his selfless service and supreme sacrifice. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved family,” the lieutenant governor wrote on X.
