J P Nadda Holds Key Meetings in Odisha Amid Speculation Over BJP's State President Appointment

Bhubaneswar, March 1 – Union Minister and BJP National President J P Nadda convened a high-level meeting with senior party leaders in Odisha on Friday, fueling speculation regarding the appointment of the new state unit president.

During his visit, Nadda held a closed-door discussion with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, state in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, and the party’s organisational secretary Manas Mohanty, according to party sources.

Before concluding his trip, Nadda also met Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati at Raj Bhavan, accompanied by the chief minister.

With anticipation growing over the selection of the next BJP state president, Odisha BJP Vice-President Biranchi Narayan Tripathy assured that the election process would be conducted systematically. "You will know about the new party president soon," Tripathy told reporters.

In addition to his political engagements, Nadda visited the revered Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri, reinforcing the party’s strong cultural and religious connect in the region.

The visit comes at a crucial time as the BJP strategizes its leadership structure in Odisha ahead of upcoming political developments.
