Jamie Campbell Bower and Eddie Marsan Join "The Rings of Power" Season 3 Cast

Prime Video's epic fantasy series, "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power," has expanded its stellar cast for the highly anticipated third season, adding acclaimed actors Jamie Campbell Bower and Eddie Marsan.

Jamie Campbell Bower, known for his compelling performance in Netflix's hit series "Stranger Things," joins the series as a regular cast member. Eddie Marsan, recognized for his role in "Sherlock Holmes," will feature prominently in a recurring capacity.

The production of the third season is currently in pre-production, with filming set to commence this spring. The show will now be produced at its new home base, Shepperton Studios in the United Kingdom, marking a significant move from its previous filming locations.

"The Rings of Power," inspired primarily by J.R.R. Tolkien's richly detailed appendices from "The Lord of the Rings,"explores the dramatic events and iconic characters of Middle Earth's Second Age. Fans have eagerly embraced the series for bringing younger versions of beloved characters to life, previously portrayed in Peter Jackson's blockbuster film trilogies— "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit."

Alongside newcomers Bower and Marsan, the ensemble cast features Morfydd Clark, Charlie Vickers, Charles Edward, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Benjamin Walker, Peter Mullan, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Trystan Gravelle, Maxim Baldry, Markella Kavenagh, and Megan Richards.

Director Charlotte Brandstrom returns to lead the upcoming season, elevating her role from co-executive producer and episode director in previous seasons to executive producer and primary director. Joining her are returning director Sanaa Hamri, who previously directed multiple episodes in the second season, and veteran director Stefan Schwartz, making his debut with the series.

As excitement continues to build, the third season promises to deepen the intrigue and expand the epic saga of Middle Earth.
