Chaibasa, Feb 2 (PTI) – Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has strongly criticized the BJP-led central government, alleging that despite the state's rich contribution to the national exchequer through its mineral resources, the Union Budget failed to allocate anything significant for Jharkhand or its tribal population.
Addressing a public function in Chaibasa on Sunday, Soren reaffirmed his commitment to fighting for Jharkhand’s rights.
Soren also announced a new governance initiative aimed at ensuring better accessibility of administrative services for rural populations.

Addressing a public function in Chaibasa on Sunday, Soren reaffirmed his commitment to fighting for Jharkhand’s rights.
In a significant development, the chief minister laid the foundation stones for 178 projects worth ₹315.28 crore and inaugurated 68 projects valued at ₹96.97 crore during the event."Jharkhand plays a crucial role in bolstering the country’s economy with its vast mineral wealth. However, the Union Budget has completely ignored the state. There is nothing in it for our people, especially the tribal community," he said.
Soren also announced a new governance initiative aimed at ensuring better accessibility of administrative services for rural populations.
The remarks come amid growing concerns in the state regarding resource allocation and tribal welfare, with Soren positioning himself as a vocal advocate for Jharkhand’s rights."We are now developing a system where block and district officials will visit the doorsteps of rural residents to address their issues directly," he stated.
