Ranchi, Feb 27 – The Jharkhand government presented supplementary demands worth ₹5,508 crore in the Assembly on Thursday during the ongoing 20-day budget session.
Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore tabled the third supplementary budget for the 2024-25 fiscal soon after the Question Hour. This follows the second supplementary budget of ₹11,697.45 crore, which was introduced in December last year.
A debate on the newly tabled supplementary budget is set to take place on Friday. Additionally, the state budget for the 2025-26 financial year is scheduled to be presented on March 3.
This will be the first budget under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren since the JMM-led alliance secured victory in the November 2024 elections.
The Assembly session, which began on February 24, is set to conclude on March 27.
