Ranchi, May 17 – The Meteorological Centre in Ranchi has issued an orange alert for several regions of Jharkhand, warning of thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds expected to hit the state on Sunday, May 18. According to a weather bulletin, thunderstorms with gusts reaching up to 60 kmph are forecast for the southern, central, and northeastern parts of Jharkhand, potentially affecting around 20 districts.Abhishek Anand, Deputy Director of the Ranchi Meteorological Centre, stated, “The change in weather is likely to be experienced from Saturday with the possibility of light rains and strong winds due to incursion of moisture from the Bay of Bengal.”
