Latehar, Feb 26: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji sustained injuries in a road accident while returning from Maha Kumbh. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday on National Highway 75 near Hotwag village in Latehar district, Jharkhand.
According to police reports, Maji's vehicle collided with a stationary truck parked on the roadside at around 2:30 am. She suffered a fracture in her left wrist and was initially taken to Sadar Hospital for first aid before being referred to RIMS-Ranchi for further treatment.
Her family members, including her son and daughter-in-law, who were accompanying her in the car, sustained minor injuries.
Sadar police station in-charge Dular Chowde confirmed the details, stating that the MP was en route to Ranchi from Prayagraj when the accident took place.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
