New Delhi, Feb 4 (PTI) – Indian playback singer Jonita Gandhi is set to join British music sensation Ed Sheeran on stage for his Chennai concert on Wednesday as part of his ongoing 'Mathematics (+-=÷x) Tour' in India.
Sheeran, globally recognized for hits such as Shape of You, Perfect, and Thinking Out Loud, kicked off the India leg of his tour on January 30 in Pune and has since performed in Hyderabad. His Chennai concert, scheduled for February 5, will feature Gandhi as a special guest.
Gandhi, known for Bollywood chartbusters like What Jhumka?, Sau Tarah Ke, and Gilehriyaan, took to Instagram on Monday to announce the exciting collaboration.
"Time's about to be frozen still. This week has been ultra crazy and it's not over yet! SUPER STOKED to be sharing the stage with one of my absolute favssss ED SHEERAN!!!" she wrote, sharing Sheeran’s tour poster.
She also revealed that she would be performing her own music along with some of her popular Bollywood tracks, urging fans to attend the show and support her performance in Chennai.
Following Chennai, Sheeran will continue his India tour with performances in Bengaluru on February 8 and Shillong on February 12. The tour will conclude with a grand finale in Delhi-NCR on February 15, where he will be joined on stage by singer-actor Lisa Mishra.
Fans can look forward to a spectacular night of music as Jonita Gandhi and Ed Sheeran bring their unique styles together in Chennai.
