Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, stated that the India-US Bilateral Trade Agreement will usher in a new era of growth for India's textile sector.
In a social media post, Mr. Joshi explained that the trade deal expands access to the $113.76 billion US market, enhancing export competitiveness through significant tariff reductions. He pointed out that this will lead to accelerated growth in the Ready-Made Garments, Carpets, and Textile segments.
Mr. Joshi emphasized that this achievement, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will further strengthen India's progress towards becoming a global textile powerhouse.
