New Delhi, March 4: JSW Energy, a leading power generation company, announced on Tuesday the addition of 159 megawatts (MW) of greenfield wind power capacity during the March quarter. This expansion has propelled the company's total operational generation capacity beyond the significant milestone of 8,400 MW.
According to a company statement, the newly commissioned wind projects arrive just in time for the wind season, effectively positioning JSW Energy to address the rising energy demands expected during the upcoming peak period. This strategic expansion underscores the company's commitment to delivering sustainable and reliable power supply.
With this latest addition, JSW Energy's total operational wind energy capacity has now reached 2,826 MW. The firm continues to robustly expand its renewable energy portfolio, currently managing under-construction projects totaling 8.0 gigawatts (GW).
In line with its ambitious sustainability goals, JSW Energy is targeting an impressive total installed generation capacity of 20 GW, aiming to achieve this benchmark significantly before FY2030.
