JSW Energy Secures 1,600 MW Thermal Power Project from WBSEDCL, Achieves 30 GW Milestone

Mumbai, India – February 5, 2025
– JSW Energy Limited has been awarded a Letter of Award (LoA) by West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) for the development and operation of a 1,600 MW (2x800 MW) greenfield super/ultra-supercritical domestic coal-based thermal power plant.
The project was allocated through a competitive bidding process conducted by WBSEDCL and will utilize domestic linkage coal allocated under the SHAKTI B (iv) policy.
