Jorhat, February 15 A forest guard was killed and another was injured in an attack by a rhinoceros at Kaziranga National Park in Assam on Sunday, a senior forest department official said.
The incident occurred in the Kohora range in the morning during patrol duties, he said.
"When the forest guards were conducting routine patrol near the Bardalani camp, the rhino suddenly attacked them. One person was killed and another was injured in the attack," the official said.
The deceased has been identified as Sahabuddin (54), and the injured as Ramen Bora, he added.
