Kollam (Kerala), March 7 – Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (Keltron), a state-run electronics firm, has secured a significant contract to design and manufacture 336 low-frequency ultrasonic transducer elements for the Vietnamese Navy, Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeev announced on Friday.

The minister shared the development through a Facebook post, emphasizing Keltron's growing presence in the defense sector. He noted that the latest order, awarded through Mumbai-based Neo Power, reinforces Keltron's capabilities and could serve as a stepping stone for its expansion in international defense manufacturing.

"Keltron will strive to secure more contracts and achieve a major breakthrough in the defense manufacturing industry," Rajeev stated.

This contract marks yet another milestone for Keltron, which has been steadily securing projects in the defense sector, aligning with India's broader push toward strengthening its indigenous defense manufacturing capabilities.
