Pathanamthitta, Kerala - March 3, 2025: In a shocking incident reported from the quiet village of Kalanjoor in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district, a man allegedly hacked his wife and her friend to death late on Sunday night, police confirmed on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Vaishnavi (27) and her friend Vishnu (30).
According to local police, the horrific incident unfolded around 11 pm on Sunday, when Baiju (32), Vaishnavi's husband, allegedly chased her to Vishnu’s house. Suspecting an illicit relationship between his wife and Vishnu, Baiju attacked Vaishnavi with a sharp-edged weapon, brutally hacking her to death.
Police sources revealed that Vaishnavi had fled her home following a domestic dispute, seeking refuge at Vishnu's residence. After murdering Vaishnavi, Baiju then turned the weapon on Vishnu, leaving him critically injured. Vishnu later succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to the hospital.
Baiju has been taken into custody by the police, and further investigations are underway.
