Los Angeles, May 18 — Prime Video has pulled the plug on The Bondsman, a supernatural drama series starring Hollywood icon Kevin Bacon, just one month after its debut.

The show, which premiered in April, was a collaboration between Blumhouse Television and Amazon MGM Studios. Despite its intriguing premise and a star-studded cast, the series failed to secure a renewal for a second season.

Created by Grainger David with Erik Oleson serving as showrunner, The Bondsman spanned eight episodes and followed the story of Hub Halloran, a murdered bounty hunter brought back to life by the Devil. Tasked with a dark mission, Halloran was charged with tracking down and returning escaped demons from Hell.

In addition to Bacon in the lead role, the series featured performances by Jennifer Nettles, Damon Herriman, Beth Grant, Maxwell Jenkins, and Jolene Purdy.

While the show offered a unique blend of supernatural elements and moral complexity, it ultimately didn’t make the cut for Prime Video's long-term content lineup.
