
Kolkata, February 14 The West Bengal government transferred six IPS officers on Saturday ahead of the high-stakes Assembly elections, officials said.
This reshuffle comes within a fortnight of two major IPS reshuffles carried out on January 30 and 31.
According to the new notification, Rajiv Mishra has been appointed as Additional Director General (ADG) and Inspector General (IG) for South Bengal, from his previous position as ADG and IG (Modernization and Coordination).
Laxmi Narayan Meena has been posted as ADG and IG, Crime Investigation Department (CID), from Correctional Services.
IG (Murshidabad and Jangipur Range) Mukesh is the new IG (Intelligence Branch), while DIG (Nadia and Ranaghat Range) Syed Waqar Raza has been posted as DIG (Murshidabad Range).
Krishnanagar SP K Amarnath has been appointed as Jalpaiguri SP, while SP Jalpaiguri Y Raghuvanshi has been posted as SP Krishnanagar.
