Kolkata, February 12 A fire broke out at a landfill in the Muchibazar area of Kolkata's Ultadanga on Thursday, an official said.
Three fire engines were able to extinguish the flames within an hour, and there were no reports of any injuries, he said.
The fire erupted around 5 pm at the landfill adjacent to a warehouse in the congested area, the fire brigade official said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
