52-Year-Old Attacked Near Home After Delivering Milk
Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh — May 17:A 52-year-old farmer was killed in a leopard attack near his residence in Sansarpur village, Bijnor district, late Friday evening, officials confirmed on Saturday.
The victim, identified as Kamaljeet, was returning home after delivering milk to the village dairy when the leopard emerged from nearby fields and mauled him. According to Sanjay Kumar, Station Officer of Chandpur, the attack occurred close to Kamaljeet’s house and left him severely injured.
Local residents, upon hearing the commotion, rushed to the scene and took Kamaljeet to a hospital. However, he was declared dead on arrival by medical staff.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, police said.
Search Operation Underway
Forest authorities have initiated a search operation to capture the leopard. Forest Ranger Dushyant Kumar confirmed that active efforts are ongoing to trace the animal and prevent further incidents.The sudden attack has sparked concern in the area, with villagers urging authorities to ensure safety and take swift action against the threat.
