Light rain in parts of Rajasthan under new western disturbance

Jaipur, Feb 4 (PTI) – Several districts in Rajasthan, including Jaipur, experienced light rainfall due to the activation of a new western disturbance, officials confirmed on Tuesday.


According to the Meteorological Department, the system became active on Monday night, resulting in drizzles across multiple regions. The cloudy weather persisted on Tuesday as well.


Officials reported that Ajmer received 3.4 mm of rain, while Baseri in Dholpur recorded 2.0 mm. Fagi in Jaipur and Chauth ka Barwara in Sawai Madhopur witnessed 1.0 mm of rainfall each. Additionally, light drizzles were observed in various areas of Churu.


Temperature readings from the past 24 hours, recorded until 8:30 am on Tuesday, showed that Sangaria recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 6.7 degrees Celsius. Other recorded temperatures included 7.0 degrees Celsius in Lunkaransar, 8.4 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer, 8.6 degrees Celsius in Alwar, 8.9 degrees Celsius in Ganganagar, and 9.6 degrees Celsius in Bikaner.


The weather conditions are expected to remain cloudy, with potential for more scattered showers in the coming days.
